Summer comes alive in Washington County with a season full of family-friendly festivals, outdoor entertainment, local traditions, and community celebrations. At the heart of it all is the annual Washington County Farmers and Merchants Fair, one of Southern Indiana's premier summer events. The fair features 4-H exhibits, livestock shows, horse events, arts and crafts displays, baking competitions, carnival rides, midway games, grandstand entertainment, and activities for all ages. Admission to the fair is traditionally free, making it an affordable destination for families and visitors alike

‍Pekin is the host of the Oldest Consecutive 4th of July Celebration in the Nation! Festival July 3-4 2026! Show your patriotic colors in Support of Pekin's 4th of July Festival with the purchase of an official 4th of July custom logo branded T-Shirt. ‍Rice Covenanter Cemetery's 4th Annual Bake Sale/Yard Sale/Plant


‍Rice Covenanter Cemetery is an historic resting place located in Salem.  It's the final resting place for over 250 individuals, including 26 veterans dating back to the Revolutionary War. The cemetery is situated at 6933 N. Covenanter Road in Salem. 

 

The fundraiser will be held from 8:00am - 1:00pm on Saturday June 27th at the Salem Senior Center. Please enter through rear doors.
